My Knee SurgeryWhen I was in 7th grade my mom finally was letting me play football. I was really excited because I have been wanting to play my whole life. The day that we were supposed to start practicing I went to the skatepark with my friends before. I decided that would be fun if I dropped into the bowl for the first time. When I dropped in I immediately knew that I was leaning way to far back so my tires slipped. I landed on my knee wrong and also got knocked out. When I woke up I immediately knew something was wrong, and sure enough something was. I tore my patella tendon in my right knee. My friends mom called an ambulance and I was on my way to the hospital. A couple months later I had to have my first reconstructive surgery to help reattach the patella. It was a long, painful eight month recovery, but I feel like it helped me. I worked hard to make a full recovery back to sports and i also learned how to take it slow.

Graduation from St. Bernard'sI spent nine years at St. Bernard's and they were not the most fun times of my life so far, but they definitely helped me become the person that I am today. I learned a lot about how you are not going to be friends with everybody, but you have to learn to respect them. I learned that friends come and go, which will last your whole life, and that you have to learn to meet new people. During the last years at St. Bernard's I did not want anything more than to transfer to a different school, but now that it is all over I am glad that I stayed and finished it out. I really think that helped me as a person. It meant a lot graduating from the same school my older sisters, my mom, my uncles and cousins graduated from. Leaving the school that I spent most of my life at was probably the biggest moment and accomplishment of my life.
